SOME INFO / HISTORY ABOUT ORARC:
In early 2011 Graham Peters conceived the idea of starting his own riding club. With that in mind, he worked over the next few months to develop a club that was designed to give riders a variety of riding experiences as well as a social group similar to motorcycle clubs in the "brotherhood" ideal, without the extreme or hardcore attitudes of many such groups. Along with five other people he finally founded the OPEN ROAD ADVENTURE RIDING CLUB in September 2011.

In the spring of 2012, "Little" (Graham Peters) opened his new CLUB to other like minded people. By the end of 2012, the CLUB had doubled in size. The CLUB had also embarked on the first annual Adventure Trip (this trip to the CABOT TRAIL and east coast).

In 2013 ORARC established its first executive body. We expanded our MEMBER base, while slowing down our admittance process. We began looking for like minded people with similar values: a true love of riding, unbiased and unprejudiced, relaxed and easy going are some of the qualities we look for in potential brothers and sisters. Our second annual adventure trip was a ride down through the Rockies in Alberta and British Columbia into Montana and across the US back to Canada.

In 2014, we continued to grow and evolve to the point where we finally had to develop our charter / code of conduct fully. Our adventure trip this year took us to north western Ontario around the 30000 Islands / Collingwood / Wasaga Beach.

Coming into 2015, our 5th year, the CLUB continued to grow steadily. We moved towards the long term goals that LITTLE envisioned at the time of his conception of the CLUB. We saw a few changes to ORARC, and how it operates. We've directed the CLUB into a smoother and more open operation. In March of this year, FOUNDER and PRESIDENT of ORARC Graham "LITTLE" Peters chose to step down as President, citing occupational demands on his time. Vice-President Troy "ANGEL" Talbot assumed responsibility for the CLUB's future as the new President. The EXECUTIVE was updated and expanded, our CHARTER officially completed and our Trademark's were filed. Our trip this year had 5 members riding out to Sturgis South Dakota for the 75th Anniversary of the Sturgis Bike Rally. On AUGUST 30th, 2015 we crossed our landmark 100th RIDE as a CLUB.

In late summer 2016, ORARC split into two CHAPTERS. Several of the FOUNDING MEMBERS revived the roots of ORARC by creating the NOMADS CHAPTER. Several other MEMBERS kept the QUINTE CHAPTER open by redefining that CHAPTERS direction. For more details on the two CHAPTERS, please refer to the CHAPTERS button above. Graham "LITTLE" Peters, was asked and agreed to take on the responsibility of NATIONAL PRESIDENT, with oversight over the ORARC NATION as a whole.

We encourage those who are looking for a CLUB to ride with OR just a group of friends to ride with, to check us out for yourself. Feel free to approach any MEMBER of our CLUB for information on what we do as a CLUB. Each CHAPTER of ORARC has its own MANDATE (its own policy on direction, involvement and growth). Check each CHAPTER out via the CHAPTERS page, to find the CHAPTER that's right for you.
